About Tupi Coffee

Brazilian Cafe.

Located at 1901 8th St, Sacramento, CA 95811, Tupi Coffee operates as a coffee shop serving Sacramento in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (916) 692-5258. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is tupicoffee.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 276 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded coffee shops in Sacramento.

Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in Sacramento peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is a pretty cute Brazilian cafe. It was pretty much empty when we came around 1pm on a Saturday and service was very fast. They were out of the corn and cheese risole but said they could make the ham and cheese. We ordered a moreno, a cheese bread, and the chicken coxinha. They only gave us one plate for two people so it would have been nice to have an extra plate but the food was pretty good. The Moreno is similar to a mocha but sweeter because of the honey

Good and bad. The staff was friendly and the shop itself is great. First time being there today and I really liked their rooftop patio and think the events they put on are cool. I got the cheese bread and it was way better than I've gotten at any other Brazilian place. But one cheese bread was $5, which seems way overpriced, so that was disappointing. I wouldn't have taken any stars off for that though. I ordered a cappuccino and it was the worst espresso drink ive had in years, I was very suprised. I only had two sips and couldn't finish it. I drink a lot of espresso based drinks, so I wasn't under the impression that I was going to get anything other than espresso and steamed milk. Super disappointing. Im sure anything they make with flavor and sugar added is way better because you don't need to pull good espresso for that. I don't know if I'd go back.

Tupi Coffee is clearly a very popular spot. The place was quite busy when I visited on Sunday β€” there was about a 20-minute line for coffee, and even while waiting no tables opened up. That said, it’s easy to see why people love this place. The team is friendly, welcoming, and the coffee is excellent β€” rich, aromatic, and very well made. Yes, it can be a bit noisy and crowded during peak hours, but that’s simply the sign of a place people genuinely enjoy coming to.

Excellent Brazilian coffee and pastry shop. We enjoyed the tasty coffee and chance to warm up with friends inside on a cold morning. We'll try to be back next time we're in the area!

Tupi Coffee is one of the best coffee shops in Sacramento. The upstairs outdoor seating area is incredible, with plenty of shade and a really relaxed, welcoming vibe. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and hang out. The downstairs space is large, bright, and great for working or meeting up with friends. There’s a ton of seating and it never feels cramped. We had the egg sandwich and it was seriously amazing. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The coffee was also outstanding β€” smooth, rich, and clearly high quality. You can tell they really care about what they serve. There’s also a wide food menu with pastries and lunch options, including Brazilian items you don’t see everywhere. It’s a great spot for more than just a quick coffee. It’s a warm, inclusive space with friendly staff and a great energy. Definitely LGBTQ+ friendly and very community-oriented. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Midtown.
